Cumbiatron is a renowned cumbia collective celebrated for their impressive live performances and their innovative take on a classic sound by incorporating electronic elements in their songs. Explore The Depot's unique space that for over 20 years has delivered explosive live Latin and specialty shows to audiences of all backgrounds.
This is a live show that brings the best of all sorts of dance music under one roof. Don't be surprised if you're hit by some techno, and then want to find a partner to dance a cumbia with. Cumbiatron Salt Lake City Concert! A Cumbiatron Showcase like no other is coming to The Depot in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday, July 11th 2026. The concert will feature the most insane cumbia performance of the year with a huge dance floor packed with fans dancing all night long to the rhythms of the traditional cumbias and the new cumbias with many influences. It will be a night of fun, music and dance within a huge and vibrant audience of fans of Latin music.
Cumbiatron is a project of cumbia bands from around the world who want to pay tribute to this style of music as well as evolve it. The show will feature classic cumbias such as "La Pollera Colorá," "Cumbia Sobre el Río," and "El Gallo Mojado," which are cumbias from around the world and are known by cumbia fans everywhere. Cumbia is a style of music that has a strong rhythmic pulse that is provided by the cymbals and the percussion, and is very danceable, so it's a great style of music to get people moving. New songs by cumbia groups have a mix of the latest production with traditional cumbia instruments and sounds. For those who love cumbia love songs, this event will be great for you. Cumbia originated along the Caribbean coast of Colombia amongst many of the indigenous peoples of the region and has spread all over Latin America; it has received world recognition of its cultural value.
The Depot is a venue that is comprised of an old train station at 400 West South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. This venue has very good acoustics which is great for shows and you can get a very up close view of the performer. The inside of the Depot is very spacious and will keep you cool while the weather does whatever it does outside. 1,250 people can fit in The Depot which is divided into floor-level general admission and raised up observation levels throughout the entire venue.
There are parking lots right around The Depot as well as street parking and several parking garages within short walking distance. Plan to arrive early to secure the best location and to experience all The Depot has to offer before the event.
